Item Description
11x17" DC Comics artboard features pen and ink original art by Gil Kane, inked by Kevin Nowlan for Superman:Distant Fires, an Elseworlds one-shot published by DC Comics in 1998. Page 2 features three panels, showing nuclear armageddon consuming North America and Europe (w/the Eiffel Tower shown) and African wildlife of the veldt. Top margin has inked title and creator names w/Kane boldly signing at top right. Top/bottom center margins have strips of aged tape, which does not overly affect art (bottom strip slightly overlaps art, not distracting). Back has DC copyright stamp. Last panel has text correction paste-over. Some lt. corner tip wear w/1" area of surface paper lift to lower right margin but overall art remains clean and Exc.
