Item Description
1.75" with back paper tiny W&H text and large text of the copyright holder "Austin & Craw South Norwalk Conn." The copyright notice also appears in small type on lower rim of the button. The "Merry-Can" features a smiling face and holds aloft a beer or wine shaped bottle spilling its contents and widely missing the glass held in the other hand. This is not only the photo example for Hake & King's Collectible Pin-Back Buttons 1896-1986 but also the button photographed for the book (pg. 82) Button Power by Carter/Hake. Scarce and NM. Comes w/Hake's COA.
