Item Description
1.25" wide celluloid front held by 12 tiny tabs to tin back with center circular opening holding both spring pin and back paper "Made By The Balto. Badge & Nov. Co. Balto. Md." We aren't sure if the shape is an apple or perhaps the famous (and now official state symbol) pink tomato. The earliest figural celluloid pin-back known to us. This is not only the Hake & King photo example from Collectible Pin-back Buttons 1896-1986 but also the button photographed for the book (pg. 82) Button Power by Carter/Hake. Top of stem missing a 1/32" cello flake with all else NM. One known to us. Comes w/Hake's COA.
