Item Description
Each 7/8", both naming gun and bicycle maker Iver Johnson. The first is c. 1901 w/W&H back paper showing the first American black athlete, Major Taylor, to endorse a product on a pin-back. Taylor became world cycling champion in 1899 and the company sponsored him on the race circuit in 1901. Second, with Lucke Badge, Baltimore, paper is c. 1915 and one of the earliest buttons to carry the words "Boy Scouts". Both scarce and NM.
