2.5x2.5x.75" deep tin litho bank w/classic image of Superman breaking chains, three sides featuring Superman comic book title logo. Reverse has black metal design w/sliding trap door. c. 1940, © DC. Superman is depicted w/fleshtone hands and face, a variety was also produced w/these areas in white. Scattered edge wear w/streaks of bare metal showing. Tiny spot of oxidation at one bottom corner.
