Item Description
This 9.75x13.25x1.5" deep box contains smaller of two sets produced by Transogram (see following item #656), ©1954 NCP, Inc. Set No. 1850. Box is complete w/illustrated insert and lid shows edge/corner tip wear. Main lid panel has .25" partial puncture to surface paper at lower left. Box has child's name written in ink at upper left, leaving impressions in box lid. Underside of lid has some watercoloring. Box is VG/Fine. Contents include 5-3/8x11" Superman book to color, which has had eight pages neatly colored. Rest of contents include eight watercolor paint tablets attached to insert and plastic water cup. All tablets show obvious wear from use w/three loose (blue tablet is broken into three pieces) and more than half of purple tablet is missing. Insert exhibits obvious watercoloring and contents are VG overall. David Barsalou Collection.
