Item Description
1" brass shell. DeWitt 1864-7. Image encircled w/"For President J. C. Fremont" and is flanked by a pair of shields enclosed in stars and wreaths. Reverse "For Vice President John Cochrane" w/small text "Pat Aug. 12, 1862." Cochrane image has minor crazing in reflected light but no bubbling or loss. Fremont has only trivial scratches under magnification and retains a watery sheen. Brass shell has minor light green patina. Extremely Fine. See item #45 for matching Lincoln.
