Item Description
Pair of approx.15.75x22.5" Craftint artboards featuring pen and ink original art for complete four-page story originally published in DRAG Cartoons #12 in Feb. 1965 by Pete Millar (1929-2003), illustrator, cartoonist and drag racer known for his work w/CARtoons and DRAG Cartoons magazines. Art is for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. spoof story The Man From N.H.D.A. (Natural Hot Dog Affiliation), itself a spoof of the NHRA. Story features caricatures of Napoleon Solo, Illya Kuryakin and Alexander Waverly who send in drag racer Bill Barney to infiltrate United Drag Rebels dragstrips. First artboard has large cut-out where Natural Hot Dog Affiliation logo is w/attached circle on artboard w/original art partially attached on back w/glue. First artboard also has some text blocks attached w/tape/glue. Each artboard has red felt tip pen page numbers and printer notations as well as small inkstamps filled out in pencil. Bottom left margin of second artboard has uneven trim. Scattered handling wear and aging w/spot of tape staining at top of second "page" on first artboard. Art is o/w clean and Exc.
