Item Description
Five 15x20" Millar Publishing artboards featuring pen and ink original art for complete five-page story originally published in DRAG Cartoons #6 in Aug. 1964 by Dennis Ellefson. Art is for License Lampoon story that provides commentary on proposal that dragster drivers need special driver licenses. Our hero searches for a license and ends up taking driver's test in his dragster, after which he is awarded license. After seeing how fast the car really is, the driving instructor panics. Each artboard has page number in marker at lower left and bottom margins each have "R59" notation. First artboard has some scattered aging and others shows some scattered margin aging and corner tip wear w/staple holes at upper left corners, but art remains clean and Exc. overall. From the Archives of Publisher Pete Millar.
