Item Description
Errol McCarthy is an artist/illustrator noted for his work on Peterson Publishing titles Hot Rod Cartoons, CARtoons and Cycletoons as well as for his later work on popular toylines like Hot Wheels and Masters of the Universe. Offered here are three artboards measuring between 14x16.75" and 14x18.25" w/applied sheets of vellum bearing pen and ink original art for three-page story from 1970s Peterson Publishing title (either Hot Rod Cartoons of CARtoons). Story has gearheads (one who looks suspiciously like the late John Candy) looking to race their hot rod. Finding no one to beat, they accidentally rear-end a "Junk" truck. McCarthy has initialed paint can on first splash panel. Vellum has aged but art o/w remains clean and Exc. Errol McCarthy Collection.
