Item Description
4" long. Hanger is 2.5" wide cello. w/AFL logos flanking "Welcome Home." Ribbon attached under collet suspends a 2-1/8" portrait button w/additional text "Wash. Oct. 1909." A .5" separation of ribbon from hanger repaired on reverse w/archival tape. Surface wear including diagonal hairline scratches seen in reflected light. Overall Fine. Gompers, the founder of the American Federation of Labor, was a central labor figure during the Gilded Age of American Industry. The first time we have encountered this badge in 54 years.
