Item Description
1.25". No maker. Text reads "Wear Golden's Clothes/Smile Like Bill Donovan" issued to promote an apparent Detroit clothing store during his time with the Tigers. He played for the team 1903-12. His MLB career spanned 1898-1921 both as a player and manager. "Wild Bill/Smiling Bill" was the NL wins leader in 1901. Trace of age and surface wear, most only seen upon close inpection. Glossy, Fine. Rare, only the second we've offered in our 54 years and not catalogued in Paul's book. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
