Item Description
8.25x11" program w/52 pages for the 1969 World Series, which saw AL champions Baltimore Orioles and NL champions New York Mets battle it out. The Mets won the series, 4 games to 1, to accomplish one of the greatest upsets in World Series history, as the 1969 Orioles were considered to be one of the finest Orioles lineups ever. The World Series win earned the Mets the nicknames "The Amazin' Mets" and "The Miracle Mets." Cover features art by noted sports cartoonist Willard Mullin featuring Mets logo, player and noted Shea Stadium. Program features typical content, including coverage on both teams and their players. Unscored. Program shows scattered handling wear w/pinch creases to spine and some cover creases. Fine overall.
