Item Description
11x17" Marvel Comics artboard has Mike Zeck's pen and ink original art (w/screentone accents) for cover to Captain America Vol. 1 #324, published by Marvel Dec. 1986. Art was inked by John Beatty and features great scene, showing full body image of Captain America struggling against Trapster's glue that holds him and his iconic shield to the ground. Cap reacts w/worry as Trapster and Whirlwind (who is armed w/Gladiator's buzzsaws) approach him from behind. Bottom margin has inked title and issue number as well as the last names of Zeck and Beatty. Block at lower left for UPC/direct edition information has been signed in black ink "To Crash - Best - John Beatty." Back has ink printer notation. Bottom margin has some scattered faint staining, but this does not affect art, which remains clean and would make for Exc. matted and framed display. Comes with photocopy of logo and cornerbox as shown. Great action-packed cover art.
