Item Description
2.75" oval. No maker. The 1929 Chicago Cubs ball club finished in first place in the National League with a record of 98-54 under National Baseball Hall of Fame Manager Joe McCarthy. Leading the offense was a quartet of future Baseball Hall of Famers: Rogers Hornsby (2B - middle row, third from right), Gabby Hartnett (C), Hack Wilson (OF - middle row, far right) and Kiki Cuyler (OF - middle row, second from right). Chicago would go on to lose the World Series to the American League champion, Philadelphia Athletics in five games. Trace of surface oxidation on metal back. Front remains glossy and Exc. Scarce.
