Item Description
1.5". Samuel H. Moss, Inc. New York on rim curl. Photo at center of Jackie in Brooklyn Dodgers cap. Text above and below "Tells His Story In The Brooklyn Eagle" along with letter "J." Buttons were issued with each letter of his name (see next lot) with prizes awarded for completing the set. These were issued by the Brooklyn newspaper who ran a series of articles on Jackie's story of entering the Major Leagues. All of these are rare with few known examples, regardless of letter. To find two different examples in one auction, such as we are offering, is a unique opportunity. These are among the most sought after of all Jackie buttons. Glossy, Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
