Item Description
One of only two known. 1.75". No maker. Impressive looking button with much text and illustration of crossed bats and a baseball. Issued by "Joe Ehram, The Bismarck Cafe" w/additional text including "We'll Have The Pennant In 1903/Home Team Management/Now Boys Root!!!" The team finished fourth in the National League with a record of 74-65, 16½ games behind the Pittsburgh Pirates and far from becoming the team to represent the NL in the very first World Series. Some surface bumps noticeable to the touch. Scattered age spotting to rim. Small rim flake to cello and surface paper at 11:00, more on back rim than front. Despite these flaws, red color remains deep and surface has high gloss. VG. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
