Item Description
Box w/nicely illustrated lid contains 11.25" tall painted tin, tin litho and plastic robot made in Japan by SH Horikawa, 1960s. Box has scattered moisture staining and lid shows extensive damage w/large repaired tear across image of robot's chest. Underside of main lid panel has been reinforced w/cardboard. Bottom side panel has area of surface paper lift from price sticker removal. Lid has 2.25" corner split. VG. Robot wears hard plastic construction helmet and pushes separate hard plastic free-wheeling cart. Wonderfully detailed w/raised tin litho chest portion displaying various gauges. Plastic interior of battery box is clean and toy works, functions include - stop and go motion, carries cart and raises art, dumping cart as ratcheting "Realistic Cart Noise" is heard. .5" crack to bill of construction helmet and plated tin mouth has some aging/luster loss. Scattered edge wear including small paint nicks/scratches, most confined to feet. Cart has .5" crack by handle. Fine/VF overall.
