Item Description
14x22" thin cardboard sign trio in black and fluorescent inks. Each features a classic custom car graphic. Signs are for the Indy Idlers 12th, 13th and 14th Annual "500" Motorama at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds, a three day event held in February annually. Show featured "America's Finest Hot Rods, Customs & Sports Cars". The 12th was in 1971 and feature custom car was Ray Farhner's (misspelled) Boothill Procession (no graphic) and the 13th was in 1972 and the car was Woodburner (covered wagon drag car) by Church Miller of Red Baron fame and the 14th was SuperVan by George Barris (star of it's own movie). All of these cars were turned into model kits by Revell and Monogram. Boothill Express later became a Frightning Lightning car in the revival of Johnny Lightning die-cast cars. SuperVan was a die-cast vehicle in the "Super Van" line of die-cast by Zee Toys. Lt. aging/handling wear. Trio has lt. minor scuffing/soiling from storage, 12th has edge chip, 13th has tack holes and 14th has a bumped corner. Overall trio displays Fine and unused.
