Item Description
See previous item. This is variety w/shirt made from slightly different material, having a shinier surface than previous item. This is also version w/sleeves, marked "Size C" on intact collar tag; 15" wide at shoulders, 19.5" tall w/50" length from sleeve to sleeve. Same silk-screened design on chest features "S" emblem w/"Superman" name above in blue (also produced w/red "S"). Scattered aging and staining, w/noticeable fade to chest area as folded and stored over the years. Silk-screened design remains complete but shows some lt. wear w/creasing to design. Fine. Original drawstring cape measures 13" wide at top and tapers to 18.5" wide at bottom. 21" tall overall. Plain red cape w/yellow trim has scattered fading and has some scattered staining. Heavy creases as folded. Fine. Pants are "Size C" as marked on intact waistband tag; 15" wide at waist and 35" long. Pants are variety w/o silk-screened design, most likely a cost-cutting decision into the production run. Scattered staining but pants are o/w intact w/o any tears/splits. Fine overall. Rare and early playsuit for the Superman collector.
