Item Description
2-1/8". No maker. For Sept. 7th event. Shows him in Boston Red Sox uniform w/his facsimile signature below. He was a player-manager for the Red Sox 1935-47 and manager only 1946-47. A seven-time All-Star. Inducted in the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1956. Button has obvious wear and age. Oxidation on metal back. Scattered staining. A .5" cello crack at the number "7". Few other tiny cello splits and surface wear. Good but the only example we know of. This very same example last sold at auction in 2001 for $1,391. Another has yet to surface.
