Item Description
The 1968 World Series was played between AL champs Detroit Tigers and the NL champs (and defending World Series champs) St. Louis Cardinals. The Tigers won in seven games for their first championship since 1945, and the third in their history. Detroit pitcher Denny McLain won the Cy Young Award and was named the AL's MVP. Mickey Lolich was awarded World Series MVP honors. Offered here is large 11x13-7/8" glossy photo showing reunion of the team, w/all players in uniform. Photo has been signed in blue felt tip pen by total of 20 players, including Al Kaline (1934-2020; HOF), Mickey Lolich, Willie Horton, Earl Wilson (1934-2005), Jim Northrup (1939-2011), Gates Brown (1939-2013), Denny McLain, Bill Freehan and Mickey Stanley among others.
