Item Description
2-1/8" dia. Conjoined portraits of TR and Leslie Shaw, a native of Denison who served as Secretary of the Treasury. Additional text below images "September 26, 1902." Reverse has "Iowa" scene w/text above "Souvenir, Denison Street Fair, Sept. 23-24-25-26, 1902." Cello on each side has light surface wear. Of the four examples we have examined this is the only one that retains original patriotic ribbon attached under collet. NM. TR was ill and did not attend this event leading to nearly all the badges being destroyed. Larry Brokofsky Collection.
