Item Description
7/8" celluloid in brass frame with 1-5/8" brass pin. Frame reverse marked "B.G. LTD./N.Y." standing for the name of one of the first makers of celluloid specialties (going back to the early 1880s) Baldwin & Gleason. Our first example since way back in Auction #185. The twins were introduced by soap maker Fairbanks in 1892 and were known as "Goldie" and "Dustie".  This stickpin is ten times rarer than the pin-back of the same design. Essentially Mint. Alan Weinberg Collection.
