Item Description
3.75x5x5" original illustrated cardboard box contains 4.25" dia. by 3.25" tall die-cast metal and plastic flying saucer made in Japan for the Japanese market by Popy, c. 1978. Based on the "Message From Space" sci-fi movie produced by Toei and released in 1978, many find several similarities to "Star Wars," which was released the year before. Ship includes center portion that flips out on hinge and has gyroscopic inner cockpit. Saucer also has three spring-loaded ports for firing plastic missiles included in sealed plastic bag, which also includes 1.75" tall die-cast and plastic Robot Beba-2 figure. Comes w/illustrated instruction sheet and full color catalog. Box is complete w/Styrofoam insert and cover. Box has some corner tip wear and is VF overall w/contents showing some lt. wear/aging. VF as packaged.
