Item Description
1.75" with lightly aged W&H back paper. Front shows well dressed gentleman holding suitcase with tiny text "To Wichita Kansas" shaking hands with Native American in elaborate headdress and clothing. Behind them is city scene, rivers, green fields and a golden sunburst. Celluloid has been slightly pressed in just a hair on its upper half and outer cream edge has three near pinpoint gray dots barely noticeable and detracting little from the fabulous color graphics. The event was held October 1900. One of two known. This is the same example sold in Auction 209 for over $1,200 and this is the button photographed for the book Button Power by Carter/Hake. Comes with Hake's COA. Rare and Exc.
