Item Description
15x24x4.5" deep illustrated cardboard box contains set by Mattel, ©1966 Space Productions. Box has great full color reflective foil box label showing the Robinson Family engaged in battle w/two large cyclops creatures (who are slightly different in appearance than the classic monster that was featured on the show). Underside of box has die-cut windows showing the components of the set. Cardboard has lt. aging/wear and box has slight inward warp due to tightness of cellophane shrink-wrap that is no longer present. Some minor staining on one corner and small surface paper loss but no graphics involved. Small edge scuff at foil. Aged tape marks inside at roto-missiles. Minor wrinkles in foil sticker. Box is still Fine/VF overall. Set is complete w/gun consisting of two main hard plastic pieces which can be assembled into larger rifle or used as stand-alone weapons. Gun has viewing scope, "Shrieking Space-Tracer" whistle attachment and launches two "Roto-Missiles" saucers. Assembled size w/both gun units in place is 20" long. Larger of two units has foil sticker w/Mattel logo and "Lost In Space - Roto-Jet Gun" name on one side of barrel while opposite side has detailed simulated controls. This unit produces a loud pop when trigger is pulled and known as the "Pistol" while the smaller gun is the "Roto-Launcher." When the smaller unit is connected to the front of the larger unit, it forms a sub-carbine and when reversed, forms rifle. Trace aging/wear to components which are all in place with rubber bands. Instructions in box and can be seen behind gun components. Overall all appears unused and Exc./NM.
