Item Description
From the same set as lot #782. Card front reads "Santa Clara B.B.C. Rojo-Catcher." Julio Rojo played in four different decades in the Cuban Winter League and in three decades in the Negro Leagues, perhaps the longest career of a Cuban catcher in Negro League history. Rojo's 21 seasons in the Cuban Winter League ranks fifth all-time after Jose Maria Fernandez, Pelayo Chacon, Mike Gonzalez and Martin Dihigo. Inducted into the Cuban Baseball HOF in 1984.
