Item Description
9x9-5/8" album w/20 pages, issued in Spain by Fher (known for their album and card sets). 1940s. One of two different Capt. Marvel albums released by Fher, cover art features Captain Marvel and villain The Scorpion. Pages feature Spanish captions below spot for each card, telling the story of the 1941 Republic movie serial Adventures Of Captain Marvel, starring Tom Tyler and Frank Coghlan Jr. Album has vertical crease at center and covers have lt. even aging and some lt. scattered handling wear w/pinch creases to spine. Fine/VF. Comes w/complete and unmounted set of 180 thin paper color-tinted cards. Each is 2x2-7/8" and feature photo images as opposed to art as seen in other set. Three cards were once mounted and as such have minor issues on backs. These are cards 13, 40 and 110. All others are clean and EX to NM overall. We have offered a few complete albums in the past (selling for as much as $1,213), but all had mounted cards. A complete loose set is rare.
