Item Description
3x5x7/8" deep plastic box w/hinged lid contains watch w/1x1.25" dia. chromed metal case, the smaller of two designs. Both top and inside of lid feature image of Captain Marvel holding a fighter jet in hand. Design on top of lid shows trace wear. Underside has flocked insert w/matching image and 1948 copyright. This shows some scattered wear, but image and text remain strong. VF. Case has 1.5" hairline crack to left of Captain Marvel image, but o/w shows just lt. wear. Still displays VF and is complete w/flocked insert and "Marvel Importing Corporation" guarantee paper which shows aging/wear. Watch has original green vinyl-covered leather bands and has original foil tag attached, listing original purchase price of "$6.95" as well as listing "Captain Marvel" name. Bands (and metal attachments) have some aging and are VF overall. Case has some lt. aging but retains much bright luster. Dial remains clean and luminous material on numerals and hands still glow slightly. Running. VF/Exc. old store stock. Plastic case is much rarer packaging than the cardboard box.
