Item Description
 A regional issue with players from the two Philadelphia teams, NL - Phillies and AL - Athletics. Each is 7/8" made by the Parisian Novelty Company of Chicago. The player's last name, team and position are printed below the real photo portrait with the Luxello Cigar name at top, on left and right is a horseshoe with monogram inside. Set is comprised of 26 different buttons, 13 per team, and we are able to offer 22 of those in this auction, by far the most ever up for auction at one time. Presented here is "Home Run" Baker. Philadelphia Athletics. He played for the team from 1908 to 1914. This is a key button in the set, one of three National Baseball Hall Of Fame Members (along with Collins and Plank, also offered this auction). He was inducted in 1955. A four-time AL home run leader and three-time World Series champ. Trace of surface oxidation on metal back. Front has lt. surface wear under magnification but remains glossy. Exc.
