Item Description
From same rare set as lot #888. Philadelphia Athletics. "Jack" Coombs played for the team from 1906 to 1914. One of only 13 pitchers since 1900 to win 30 or more games in a season. A two-time AL wins leader and three-time World Series champ. Moderate oxidation to the metal collet and back. Front has lt. surface wear and some tiny air spots under the cello but all only visible under magnification. Still glossy. VF. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
