2.25". Metal back marked "St. Louis Button Co." Front features classic cardinal on bat image. This is more desirable variety noting "1944 World Champions" while others were issued in this design for 1944 (see previous lot) and 1946 "NL" champs. St. Louis defeated their cross-town rival, St. Louis Browns, 4 games to 2, to win the "Trolley Series" and become world champions. Typical luster wear to metal back. Front is glossy, Exc.
