Item Description
2.25". Metal back marked "St. Louis Button Co." Front features classic cardinal on bat image. This version has text for their 1944 NL pennant win (see next lot for 1944 World Series variety, but also note this same design was used for a 1946 NL pennant button as well). The Cards went 105-49 during the season to finish first in the NL. Tiny bump caused by bar pin on back but totally bright and glossy. Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
