Item Description
Each is 1.25". No maker but union back stamps. Each has sharp image w/same text promoting bread and the fact that the pictured person "Eats" the product. The key to the set is Joe Dimaggio. 1939 was the year he won his first MLB MVP award. The others are: Eddie Shore (of the Boston Bruins who won their second Stanley Cup in 1939), Billy Conn (boxing champion known for his bouts with Joe Louis) and aviator Dick Merrill (who made several famous late 1930s flights). Trace of oxidation on metal backs.  Scattered lt. trace of surface wear under magnification but a bright and glossy set overall. Exc. Rare to find as a set and the first such we have offered in our 54 years. Paul Muchinsky Collection (DiMaggio is the book example).
