Item Description
From same series as lot #876. W&H back paper. Presented here is starting catcher, Boss Schmidt, who was strong defensively, leading the American League in caught stealing percentage, turning double plays and assists by a catcher during his time with Detroit from 1906-11. Scattered trace of age spotting, including on photo. Surface has moderate wear including 3/8" scratch on Schmidt's face but most surface wear only seen in reflected light.
