Item Description
Lot of three 10x12" animation sheets featuring pencil original art w/colored pencil accents from 1938 Silly Symphony featuring caricatures of many Hollywood celebrities of the day. Art shows Oliver Hardy (of Laurel & Hardy fame) as The Pie Man. Drawing No. 24 w/3-7/8x5-5/8" image area and drawing No. 46 w/3.75x5.75" image area both feature similar image of Hardy from same sequence. Drawing No. 410 is from end sequence of the short, w/2x4.75" image area of Laurel & Hardy playing instruments at right w/2.25x4" image area of member of Cab Calloway's band. Two sheets have some scattered production notes by art and at margins. Sheets have lt. aging/handling but are clean w/Exc. art.
