Item Description
8-5/8x14" thick cardboard mounted on wooden backing frame and designed to hang. Cardboard features printed caricatures of boxing match between black boxer (who is shown in somewhat stereotypical depiction) and white boxer, taking inspiration from the famous 1938 Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling bout and dates to that era. Made in Spain, text translates to "Boxing Shot" and features die-cut target area that locks in place and when struck, white boxer throws punch. Remnants of strings used to pull/hang but all works as it should, target locking in place w/intact and working spring. Cardboard surface shows scattered wear w/obvious corner foxing and some surface wear. Target area shows obvious wear. VG overall. Rare and first we've seen in our 54 years. Something very different for the boxing collector.
