Item Description
11.25x14.25x3" deep box w/beautiful graphics of Buck Rogers flying through space w/ray gun and various spaceships. Box originally contained Sackman Brothers Co. outfit set issued in 1935, available as both a store item and was also issued as a Cream of Wheat premium. Upper left corner of box lid has had significant repairs, w/paper reinforcements added to interior and scattered staining to exterior at this area. Scattered edge splits to surface paper. Main panel of lid shows just some lt. handling wear/dust soiling and o/w remains nice for display. Good/VG overall. We have only offered a few of these boxes in our 54 years. Comes w/child's size suede cloth helmet w/movable visor unit and plastic eye cover insert. Chrome luster metal ear flaps feature relief "Buck Rogers 25th Century" image. Has chin strap w/buckle. Complete w/original separate metal accent piece attached to top back center as issued. This has some scattered trace oxidation. Suede has hardened w/age and has scattered wear/surface cracks. Visor has come loose, resulting in small holes on side of helmet. Visor retains near full bright luster w/little wear and could be reattached to helmet w/some effort. VG. Rare.
