Item Description
13.75x17" on lightly embossed card stock w/blank back tack mounted at corners to green folio page. Oversized menu for a dinner given to Hoover Nov. 15, 1919. Illustration signed on print "T. Sindelar." Cornucopias frame a full list of Hoover's academic and war relief efforts below portrait. Inscribed and signed boldly in black fountain pen ink "Kind Regards Of Herbert Hoover" at lower left. Trivial age and minor handling. NM. The club is known for producing elaborate souvenir menus for their "State Dinners" and counted among members the likes of Mark Twain, Andrew Carnegie, Margaret Mead, Dwight Eisenhower and Tom Wolfe. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
