Item Description
Original 7.75x9.5" glossy silver gelatin photo depicting 21 team members in full uniform along with two batboys, two gentlemen dressed in formal attire and the team trainer in casual attire and posed on a ball field. The 1945-46 edition of the Cienfuegos ball club boasted one of the most impressive rosters of talent in Winter League history. Highlighting the presented image is future National Baseball Hall of Famer, Martin Dihigo who stands at center (inducted in the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1977). Also shown are manager Adolfo Luque along w/team members: Silvio Garcia, Luis Tiant Sr., Alejandro Crespo and Nap Reyes. Handwritten notations on back with player identifications. Back also has all over staining as once mounted. Some of this shows through on the front, mostly on the clear sky in the bkg. Lt. handling wear. Image remains sharp w/nice clarity. Fine.
