Item Description
SOS was a Warren-esque comic magazine, published in Spain by Valenciana 1948-1984, w/four well-differentiated periods, existing first as a humor magazine before transitioning to a horror anthology format. This issue is from the "third stage," which ran for 58 issues. Offered here is the cover to SOS #40, published in 1982. 10.75x15-5/8" artboard w/attached vellum overlay features mixed media original art for cover, featuring large werewolf attacking buxom redhead. This ties into first story in this issue and has penciled/inked title at top margin. Artist is unknown as art is unsigned. Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the comic this cover art was created for.
