Item Description
17 of (we believe) 18, each is 1.75". Rim curl names maker " Midwest Badge & Nov. Co. Inc." of Minneapolis, MN. This company produced the set in conjunction with their state getting an MLB franchise with the Twins. In response to the proposed Continental League, the American League expanded by two teams in the first MLB expansion since 1901. The original Washington Senators moved to Minnesota and became the Twins. The AL therefore placed a new team in Washington, also called the Senators. The AL also placed a team in Los Angeles, the Angels. The "Hometown" Twins were given a standout design, differing greatly from the rest of the set. The other teams have crossed bats and ball at top along w/small logo or image representing that team at bottom center. Many of these are more comical/cartoon-like in nature from what that team would normally use. Includes all 8 teams from the NL and  9 of 10 from the AL (Paul never came across a Cleveland Indians button for this set so unsure if one was ever made). Scattered degrees of surface oxidation on metal backs. Front are bright, glossy and overall Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
