Item Description
Set of 32. Each is 7/8" tin litho. Portrait photo at center surrounded by "Yellow Basepath", hence the name they are referred to. Nearly half the set (15) are National Baseball Hall Of Fame Members. The key button, both in terms of desirability and value is Mickey Mantle. Other HOF'ers are: Hank Aaron, Luis Aparicio, Richie (misspelled "Ritchie") Ashburn, Ernie Banks, Yogi Berra, Larry Doby, Nellie Fox, Al Kaline, Eddie Mathews, Stan Musial, Peewee Reese, Robin Roberts, Red Schoendienst and Duke Snider. Others include: Joe Adcock, Gene Baker, Bill Bruton, Bob Friend, Ted (Jim) Greengrass, Steve Gromek, Johnny Groth, Gil Hodges, Ted Kluszewski (misspelled "Klugewski"), Johnny Logan, Dale Long, Orestes Minoso, Don Newcombe, Bob Porterfield, Vern Stephens, Gene Woodling and Gus Zernial. Mantle has a series of tiny vertical surface color scratches (not down to bare metal) in field at top right of portrait just affecting the hat and only seen upon close inspection. These blend, distracting minimally from what is otherwise an extremely clean example w/perfect centering. Exc. Overall the majority of the set is equally clean w/a few examples that have moderate paint wear. VF to Exc. Of note the Hank Aaron has only trivial wear, remaining NM and is as nice as they come.
