Item Description
1.25" w/Phila. Badge on curl. Design features images of Tim Tyler in safari hat, fighting off an attacking lion as well as images of tiger and two monkeys. This 1937 Universal movie serial directed by Ford Beebe starred Frankie Thomas as Tim and was based on Lyman Young's "Tim Tyler's Luck" comic strip (first seeing publication as a King Features Syndicate daily strip in 1928, followed by a Sunday page in 1931 w/Alex Raymond assisting w/early Sunday art). Button includes "A Universal Picture" text. Reverse has 1" long barely seen hairline cello split as made and laying perfectly flat. The front has high gloss and almost no surface wear. Exc. and rare.
