Item Description
7" tall. 1910-1920. Head is attached to body w/a spring on a long thin wood shaft. Very detailed papier-mâché head w/painted eyes, mouth and facial features. Woman wearing what could be considered a man's hat. Figure has applied paper "Votes For Women" badge worn on her lapel and carries a black umbrella and red bag. A .25" paint loss on side of hat brim. VF. An impressive and satirical display artifact of the struggle for women's suffrage.
