Item Description
1.5" w/"Wm. H. Hoegee Co Los Angeles" back paper. Hake #3201. Likely worn by a Los Angeles veteran to the 9th National Encampment held in Atlantic City, NJ on Sep. 9, 1912. Wonderful cartoon portrait of TR in Rough Rider uniform w/his famous greeting below. Two tight vertical splits, one affecting the "G" in "De-Lighted" the other affecting the "C" in "Camp." Otherwise only light surface wear. Technically VF but displaying well above grade. Only the third we've encountered in our 55 years. John Pendergrass Collection.
