Item Description
1.25". Text in lower green field "Women's Political Union." There are several varieties of this design featuring different numbers of stars on the banner carried by the trumpeter relative to the number of states then allowing women to vote. This example has six stars placing it c. 1911 when California joined Washington, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming in granting suffrage to women. Cello surface has only light wear under magnification. NM. Perhaps the most iconic suffrage pin-back and this specimen is choice w/superb colors.
