Item Description
1.5" w/curl text "©1935 B. & B. St Paul" (meaning Brown & Bigelow). This button with this imprint is Muchinsky Collection but not in the book, having been acquired after 2008 publication. He does show two others with "Heavyweight Sensation" and one with text changed to "World's Heavyweight Champion". He noted that Joe Louis buttons represent the first use of a boxer to advertise products. The copyright on this curl proves the "Sensation" version was used 1935 until Louis won in 1937.
