Item Description
1.25", no maker. Muchinsky noted this New York City black owned bakery went out of business in 1944. In trying to narrow the window, we learned the "Brown Bomber" nickname goes back to c. 1935 after Louis' NYC victory over Primo Carnera. We also learned the bakery was in business by 1939 making 1940 a good approximate year for this "Member" rare premium button for the "Boys' Anti-Crime Club". Only one known to us. Exc. Paul Muchnisky Collection Book Example #151.
